Whiteside Machine Company has been in business since 1970. They were originally set up as a general purpose machine shop located in Hickory, North Carolina. This part of North Carolina is well known for the fabrication of furniture and the Whiteside family worked closely with these furniture manufacturers to design bits and solve problems. The care and expertise created router bits that were industrial grade, yet economical enough to satisfy the cost requirements in the industry.

Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 square ft manufacturing facility. They produce a full line of solid carbide drill bits and carbide tipped drill bits. Rockwell RK5100K SoniCrafter Review - Reconditioned

Posted in Rockwell at 7:37 pm by Administrator

The Rockwell SoniCrafter Oscillating tool gives you the ability to sand, scrape, polish and cut. The Rockwell Brand is an excellent choice and ranks just under the higher priced Fein Multimaster. While the Rockwell does not have quite the quality that the Fein demonstrates, it can be a great tool for the occasional job. This kit includes two cutting blades, a sanding pad, and 15 sanding sheets that help you to make plunge cuts, flush cutting door jams, and sand, with professional-grade results.

In a comparison our first choice would be the Multimaster, but we also considered a couple of the lower priced Oscillating Tools.

Milwaukee M12 12 Volt Drill Driver Review

Posted in Milwaukee at 5:44 pm by Administrator

This compact drill driver is perfect for HVAC contractors, woodworkers, metal fabricators, and do-it-yourself types. The Milwaukee 12 Volt Drill Driver has 2 speeds for fast drilling and fastening. The tool is compact and very portable. It has a very cool integrated LED and fuel gauge that keeps you on top of your power supply.

The technical:
The Milwaukee Drill Driver has a two-speed (0-1,500 and 0-400) durable metal gear box. The company claims it provides “up to 35 percent faster drilling and fastening than the competition”. Tyler Tool hasn’t tested that but it is believable. It has a powerful motor at 250 in./lbs. of torque. We have found that you can use this tool a full day on one charge with pretty heavy usage. We especially like the single sleeve ratcheting/locking chuck (3/8) of the Milwaukee 12V cordless drill driver. The tool is just 7-3/4 in. and 2.5 lbs. It feels a little more solid in the hand than most other comparable drills.

Milwaukee V28 Hammer Drill

Posted in Weekly Deals at 8:54 pm by TylerToolUser

If you are looking for a powerful hammer drill, take a close look at the Milwaukee V28 drill. This drill pacts a lot of power, 600lbs. of torque. Besides the power, this drill has some great features. One of the items we like best about this drill is the balance. Anyone who uses power tools to make a living understands that good balance lets you work all day long without your arm fatiguing. As with any drill, there are three items that factor into the balance and weight distribution: Battery, Motor and Chuck. It may seem like an easy task to make a good quality balanced power tool, but it is rather difficult.
